OUR STORY

Celestial Natural Foods celebrates 48 years in business on the North Shore of Oahu and was proudly founded by Carter Allen in 1974.  Our charming gem by the beach is the Hawaiian Islands’  first natural, organic, lacto-vegetarian store and is located in the historic town of Haleiwa, which is now considered the surfing capital of the world!

 

What began as a blossoming wholesale partnership with Celestial Seasonings Herbal Tea in 1973, has expanded into a historic place for local residents and visitors to enjoy. We are dedicated to offering the best variety of organic, natural and bulk foods and are proud to be a Non-GMO establishment.   

 

Our passion for plant-based food and good vibes expands all the way through the store where guests can enjoy some of the BEST Vegan food on the North Shore!  Currently, The Cosmic Kitchen, a Vegan Deli/Grab-n-Go, has been cooking up some of the most delicious sandwiches and treats in town. *Located inside Celestial Natural Foods. 

 

Celestial Natural Food store is still family owned and operated by Mr. Carter and his two daughters, Leilila and Melody as well as a wonderful team of employees working hard to bring a dynamic array of products to the community at prices that beat their larger competitors in Honolulu.

 

We want to give a big Mahalo to all the loyal North Shore customers and to the world wide customers that support us and all of the local businesses in Haleiwa town. As they say, real Kokua is supporting business in the community that you live in, for after all, most business owners are our friends and neighbors.
